Hello! I don't want to bother you too much on this wonderful Monday afternoon, but, just in case you weren't aware, I wanted to briefly let you know that the Kickstarter for Frosthaven - the giant, big-box sequel to Gloomhaven - is live on Kickstarter right now.

You can head over to the page to see all the details, but I did want to let you in on something extra special. As a previous backer of Cephalofair Games on Founders of Gloomhaven, you will automatically get a free challenge coin in your Frosthaven box if you back that too. We're still working on getting a physical sample of it, but here is a rough rendering:

It is metal coin, 38.5mm in diameter with colored enamel accents.

The coin isn't exactly exclusive - other backers will get a chance to buy it in the Frosthaven pledge manager - but we wanted to give it to you for free as a show of thanks for your support for us over the years.

End of Shipping and Replacement Parts

Greetings founders of Gloomhaven!

It has been a truly crazy week with Gen Con, but I have returned, spent a day sleeping, and now I come to you with news of a replacement part request form! I know it has been a long wait for some of you, but it has taken a while to coordinate with all our fulfillment partners and get everything squared away.

So, if your copy of Founders was missing anything or anything was damaged, please follow this link and tell us about it, and we'll be happy to get parts sent out to you as soon as we are able.

Other than that, shipping across the world has been completed, so hopefully you have your game or it will arrive soon. If you still haven't received a tracking notification, please look at your BackerKit account first to make sure there aren't any errors there. Also if you only completed your BackerKit survey in the last two weeks, your reward hasn't been sent out yet. If you are in neither of those camps, though, and don't have tracking, please contact [email protected] and we'll see what we can do.

If you have received tracking information but something is wrong with it, it is best to contact the fulfillment center directly, and then contact us if they are unable to resolve it. Keep in mind that there may be a lot of requests, and we are all trying to catch up after Gen Con, so there may be some delay in a response.

With that, however, I am officially closing the book on updates for this project! It's been a long and eventful ride, and I sincerely thank you for joining me on it. It has been a pleasure making this crazy game for you, and I very much hope that you enjoy it!

Once again, thank you for making this possible! Thank you for trusting me to make the best game possible, and thank you for encouraging me along the way. It's been great, and hopefully I'll see you again on some future project!

Shipping Part 5

Hello founders of Gloomhaven!

I just wanted to send out a quick update about shipping.

Outside of the US, everything is more or less complete. Happyshops has less than 20 orders left to process, but those should go out early next week (like Tuesday). If you are outside the US and haven't yet received any notification for something you were expecting to receive, first of all check your BackerKit survey. If there's an error, that is what is stopping the shipment. Also if you've only resolved any errors in the last couple weeks, I'll be doing more late order uploads over the weekend, so your stuff will likely go out next week. But if you don't have any errors in your order and are expecting something, let [email protected] know and we'll figure it out.

In the US, Quartermaster is still in the middle of fulfillment, so most of you haven't received delivery notification yet. The latest update from them is that they have shipped out 2500 copies (a little less than half), and that they expect to finish with the rest by late next week. I'll send out another update once they give the all-clear.

That's really all there is to report at this time, though I do also want to mention that a small typo was discovered on the Gems resource card, where the forbidden resources are wrongly represented. It would only be an issue in a 2-player game, and the best we can offer is a paste-up for the card, which you can find here.

Shipping Part 4

Hey there founders of Gloomhaven!

Right off the bat, I want to remind you that if you haven't filled out your survey, or if you've got some kind of error in your survey that BackerKit keeps emailing you about, you should really get on that! I can't send you a game until everything is all squared away on BackerKit.

Okay, with that said, let's get on with the update! Let's break it down by regions. If you live in:

Asia, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand

Everything should have been sent out by now - or at least all the stuff that didn't have any errors. If you've only got your survey squared away on BackerKit in the last couple weeks, I've only just uploaded your info to the fulfillment centers, so it likely hasn't gone out yet, but it will soon! If you didn't have any errors with your pledge and still haven't received anything, contact [email protected] and we'll track down your package for you (or, if you live in Canada, just contacting [email protected] might be faster).

If you are in need of any replacement parts for whatever reason, we are still getting a Google form set up for that. I'll let you know when it goes live, but in the mean time, please be patient, and I am sorry for the inconvenience.

US

So I do have some bad news on this front. All of the games arrived at Quartermaster a week and a half ago, but they are currently backed up with a number of other projects, and so they are planning on starting fulfillment of Founders at the end of next week (around the 14th). The good news is that if you follow them on Twitter, they will let you know as soon as the fulfillment starts.

EU and the rest of the world

Happyshops began fulfillment yesterday on this. They typically start with Germany and then spread out from there. Plus it will take them a little while to complete the fulfillment because of the extra packing required for all the influence gems. No need to worry if you haven't received a shipping notification yet. It could take a week or more, but it is in progress!

Not much to say other than that. This has been a way longer journey than any of us expected, and I am sorry about that, but we are finally reaching the conclusion, and I hope the game brings you much joy!

More Shipping Updates

Greetings founders of Gloomhaven!

I hope everything is going well for you! I just got back from Origins, which was an absolute blast, and we are now moving forward with US, EU and rest-of-the-world shipping. I mentioned something very important in the last update, but it seems a lot of people missed it, so I'm going to reiterate now:

Please make sure that you've only added extra copies of the game to your order if you want extra copies. I've had a number of messages from people who were surprised when their card was charged for a second copy of the game. If you pledged at the "Build a City" level, your survey by default includes one copy of the game. If you added another copy to your pledge in BackerKit (labeled clearly in all caps as EXTRA COPY), that would be an extra copy that you may have been charged for.

If you now find yourself in a position where you have been charged for an unwanted game, just get a hold of us: reply to the BackerKit email, send a Kickstarter message, email [email protected]. Anything will work, and just let us know the situation. We can take care of it up until the point when the game actually ships, so please look into this as soon as you can.

When will the games be shipping exactly? Well, Happyshops and Quartermaster both should have their shipments by the end of the week, so I would imagine shipping will begin early next week. Don't panic if it takes a little longer than that, though.

If you are in Canada, Australia, or New Zealand, most of the games have gone out at this point. Don't panic if yours hasn't arrived yet, though.

If you are in Asia, however, everything should have arrived by now, so if you still don't have a game, let us know and we'll look into it.

One other thing to note: no matter where you are, though, is that we have a number of orders that haven't gone through yet. This could be that you haven't answered your survey at all, that you added to your pledge on BackerKit and then there was an error with your credit card, or that your address wasn't valid for one reason or another. In all of these cases, you should have received an email from BackerKit notifying you of the problem. If you would like your game, please go in and take care of these problems. At this point, your shipment will still be delayed in a later upload to the fulfillment center, but if you don't take care of the problem, I can't ship anything out.

All right, I think that is all there was to say at this point. I really just cannot emphasize enough to take care of any problems with your BackerKit survey as soon as you can to minimize the chances of any mistakes. Until next time!
